This was an experiment, of course.
Very simple, cheap, healthy, delicious, versatile.
My favorite kind of food.
[ingredients]
chickpeas
basil leaves
olive oil
garlic
salt
Put the basil, olive oil and garlic in a food processor and blend until smooth.
Add the chickpeas and blend until smooth.
I don't have any measurements because I honestly don't have any idea what I used.
It's probably not that picky; just use your discretion and tastebuds.
As long as the chickpeas are cooked and the basil is fresh, not dried, you will be good to go.
[PS]
I don't keep spare lemons around, but if you do,
try some lemon juice in this and tell me how it turns out

mmm. Pesto and Hummus are two of my favorite things!
ps, I always put a squeeze of lemon in my hummus. It adds a little something special :)
Oh wow! I literally just ate homemade hummus for lunch - if I'd read this beforehand I'd have made homemade pesto hummus instead!
